People. Partners.
Places. Positions.
The roughly two-decade story of my career can be divided into chapters, each corresponding to the time spent refining my craft and striving for excellence at three key companies:
SYPartners, IDEO, and IDW.
These organizations remain the cornerstone of my professional journey, even as I look ahead with optimism and anticipation toward the next adventure, the next challenge, the next opportunity, and the next great design.
Senior Production Designer
For the past five years, IDEO has been my primary client. During this time in I've had the privillge of wearing many hats including those of graphic designer, production designer, experience designer, presentation designer, photographer, maker, prototyper, project manager, vendor liason, pre-press specialist, sound editor, and illustrator.
Senior Production & Design Lead
Over the course of 15 years it's hard to quantify and convey with any concision all the roles, skills, and responsibilities necessary to my job at SYP. In many ways I grew up with the company, evolving beside it as it as they grew from a small boutique design-centric business consultancy, to a massive, bi-coastal, industry-leading behemoth, with clients around the world.
Some of my favorite teams to work
on included Apple, Nike, Starbucks, and Levis Strauss & Co.
Freelance Production + Design
Based in Oakland, and Oakland proud, IDW is hands down one of the only agencies I've worked with that not only has heart, but leads with theirs. I'm honored to call many there both colleagues and friends.
At IDW I've been privileged to do stellar work with many amazing clients, but without question my favorites have been The Oakland Museum of California and
The Lawrence Hall of Science.
